A veteran British actor, who is being remembered as a regular cast member of “Eastenders,” has died.
Ian Lavender was also known for playing a hapless Home Guard soldier in the classic British sitcom “Dad’s Army,” which regularly attracted 18-million viewers per episode in the late 60s and early 70s.
Lavender’s agent says the actor had been in ill health for some time and died over the weekend at the age of 77.
“Eastenders” airs on our sister station OneTV.
