it was exactly 60-years today that the Fab Four scored their first Billboard Hot 100 number-one hit with, “I Want To Hold Your Hand.”
And that was just the first of a record 20 chart leaders from the Beatles.
“I Want To Hold Your Hand,” spent seven weeks at the top of the charts before finally being knocked off by two other Beatle hits, “She Loves You” and then “Can’t Buy Me Love.”
For trivia buffs; The Beatles’ three month run at number one was broken by Louis Armstrong’s “Hello Dolly.”
