It paints a grim picture of the state of Canada’s healthcare as seen by Canadians.
A new online survey suggests 7 out of 10 Canadians worry they won’t be able to get good quality medical care if they or a family member need it.
The Leger poll comes nearly a year after the federal government signed a new health accord with the provinces to address the severe shortage of health-care workers.
Of the more than 1500 Canadians surveyed, 37-percent rate the healthcare system in their province as poor or very poor, while 26-percent rate it as good.
And only 17-percent of people surveyed say they feel the state of health care is likely to improve in the next two years.
