She’s being remembered for a lot of things including her stint as “Jody” on the TVO series, “Daily Special.”
Children’s entertainer, broadcaster and activist Nerene Virgin has died.
The Hamilton-born actor is being called a courageous, vibrant, multi-talented, beautiful, trailblazing Canadian, with an incredible smile.
She had recurring roles on TV’s “The Littlest Hobo,” “Polka Dot Door” and “Night Heat,” worked as a reporter and ran for political office.
She was the great-granddaughter of an escaped slave and in 2016 was named one of the country’s 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women.
Nerene Virgin was 78.
