You know times are tough when the set of a TV series gets sold to raise funds.
But that’s exactly what the BBC had done with the show, “EastEnders” which airs on ZoomerMedia’s “One TV.”
Not only has the BBC agreed to sell the “EastEnders” set, but is also selling its other studios in the 16-acre Elstree Centre, north of London
No price was released on what the buyer, Insurance giant Axa, is paying, but the BBC was reportedly looking for upwards of $90 million as it tries to find some $650 million in annual savings.
