Czechia scored with 11.7-seconds left in regulation to beat Canada 3-2 in the quarterfinals at the world junior hockey championship in Sweden.

Jakub Stanci’s second goal of the game deflected off defenceman Oliver Bonk; son of former NHLer Radek Bonk, and slid past goalie Mathis Rousseau.

Matthew Wood and Jake Furlong scored for Canada.

The game was a rematch of last year’s gold-medal game in Halifax, which Canada won 3-2 in overtime.

Owen Beck was Canada’s lone returnee, while five players of that Czech team played today.
