Tom Wilkinson, the British actor perhaps best known for his role in the film “The Full Monty” died over the weekend.

Wilkinson was nominated for a best actor Academy Award for the 2001 family drama “In The Bedroom.”  He was also nominated as best supporting actor for his role in the 2007 movie “Michael Clayton” starring George Clooney.

Wilkinson was born in Yorkshire Northern England, but spent some of his childhood in Canada.

Family members say he died suddenly at his home.  Wilkinson was 75.
