The U.S. House of Representatives has authorized the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.
All of the Republican representatives towed the party line behind the politically charged process despite ongoing concerns among some that the investigation has yet to produce any evidence of misconduct by the president.
While their investigation has raised ethical questions, evidence has yet to emerge indicating that Biden has acted corruptly or accepted bribes in his current role or previous office as vice president.
House Speaker Mike Johnson and his leadership team have been facing mounting calls to show progress in what has become an almost yearlong probe centered around the business dealings of Biden’s family members.
President Biden has called the effort a “baseless political stunt.”
