Those planning to travel with Air Transat early in 2024 will be glad to know the airline and the union representing its flight attendants have a tentative agreement.

 

 

Details will be presented to members and voted on in the coming days.

The tentative deal avoids a strike that might have begun as soon as January 3; the end of the crucial holiday season.

Late last month, an overwhelming majority of the over 2,100 flight attendants had approved a strike mandate if there was no new agreement.

This comes as Transat AT Inc reports a profit in its latest quarter – $3.2-million in the black for the three-months ending October 31, compared with a loss of $126.2-million same time a year ago.
