There’s word that Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow will back a move to rename a stadium in honour of former mayor Rob Ford.

A spokesperson for Chow says she plans to support a motion to rename the stadium at Centennial Park when it comes before city council next week.

Ford’s term in office was overshadowed by a scandal where he was caught on video smoking crack.

He dropped his 2014 re-election bid when he was diagnosed with cancer, Ford died in 2016.
