WALMART PUTTING $1B TO MODERNIZE CANADIAN STORES, IMPROVE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

Now that’s a renovation budget !

Walmart Canada’s putting almost $1-billion this fiscal year toward a multi-year modernization plan.

 

It includes unveiling its Store of the Future in Mississauga’s Square One location and investing more than $300-million in store remodels and renos.

Walmart will modernize and upgrade 55 stores across Canada this year; including extensive make overs.

The most major changes will be made to stores in Square One, Erin Mills, Rexdale and Newmarket in Ontario; Kirkland and Montreal Nord in Quebec and Kamloops in B.C.

These investments mark the halfway point in the the retailer’s five-year, $3.5-billion investment, announced in the summer of 2020.
