One of the major movers and shakers of mid-60s and 70s U.S. foreign policy has died.

Henry Kissinger was a major figure in American policy for more than 60-years starting with the presidency of Richard Nixon.

Kissinger, who was Jewish, was born in Germany but fled that country as a teenager after the rise of Hitler’s Third Reich.

Henry Kissinger died late yesterday at his home in Connecticut at the age of 100.
