The family of Rosalynn Carter is beginning three days of memorials for the former U.S. first lady and global humanitarian who died November 19th at the age of 96.
Brief ceremonies are set to take place Monday in the Carters’ native Sumter County in Georgia.
Then Rosalynn Carter’s remains will travel by motorcade to Atlanta, where she will lie in repose at The Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum and where visitation is available Monday evening.
Two funerals for invited guests only are set for tomorrow in Atlanta and Wednesday in the Carters’ hometown of Plains.
It is not yet known whether Rosalynn’s husband of 77 years, 99-year-old former president Jimmy Carter, will be able to attend any events.
