It’s time once again to welcome a certain jolly old elf to town.

The Santa Claus Parade is back in Toronto on Sunday for it’s 119th year, with thousands expected to line the streets to see St. Nick in the flesh.

But, the big event will necessitate some major road closures and transit detours, so if you’re planning to attend, you’re urged to take public transit.

And this year, the route has changed slightly.

The parade will kick off at Christie Pits Park at 12:30 p.m, it then heads east on Bloor, south on Spadina, east on Harbord to Queen’s park, around the Legislature, south on University, east on Wellington, south on Yonge, then east on Front to the St. Lawrence Market.

The theme for this year’s parade is “Being there is believing.”
