Even though it’s the busiest travel time far in the U.S. not everyone is gathering with family for today’s traditional dinner.

A new survey says over half of Gen Z’s (those born between the late 1990s and early 2010s) are skipping Thanksgiving this year over concerns about political discussions.  And there is an overall trend to smaller celebrations which can be traced back to the pandemic.

But, it just wouldn’t be Thanksgiving stateside with out the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving day parade in New York.

Beloved cartoon characters like Snoopy and SpongeBob SquarePants will mark the parade’s 97th anniversary.

More than two dozen floats, interspersed with marching bands from around the country, will entertain huge crowds.

Among the big names performing is Zoomer legend Cher.
