Toronto audiences will be able once again to experience the musical, “The Lion King,” when it returns to the Princess of Wales Theatre for an extended run next year.
The show will have a “sit-down” production – meaning it will be based in Toronto for an open ended run which is a first for a North American city.
The show opens on Nov. 2, 2024 at the Princess of Wales Theatre where Toronto audiences enjoyed the original production when it opened in March of 2000.
David Mirvish says the new Toronto production will help launch a new generation of Canadian artists who the company is committed to finding and supporting.
