More than 10-years in the works, Huey Lewis says it’s been a long road and he’s pinching himself because it’s really going to happen.

The jukebox musical ”The Heart of Rock & Roll” is a romantic-comedy with songs by the chart-topping group.

The story is about a blue-collar guy, who used to be in a rock band in his 20s, and now in his 30s is ready to be part of middle-class respectability when his bandmates return for another crack at music.

On top of that he falls for the boss’s daughter.

Huey Lewis & The News had 12 top 10 hits and three made No. 1.

”The Heart of Rock & Roll” will play the James Earl Jones Theatre starting in March.
