Renowned German tenor Jonas Kaufmann is back in good health and back on stage.

After a string of cancellations, Kaufmann says he has finally recovered from an illness, the result of a drug resistant infection that caused congested lungs and followed his fourth bout of COVID-19.

He was prescribed a high dosage of antibiotics and recuperated at his home in Salzburg.

Before beginning a run in New York that ends Friday he said his physical strength is now at 98%..
