Striking Metro workers have a tentative agreement.

A statement from the grocery store chain says Metro negotiators have reached a tentative agreement with Unifor reps covering striking workers at 27 Metro grocery stores across the Greater Toronto Area.

Details of the tentative deal are not immediately available and likely won’t be until after a ratification vote by members, which is expected to take place shortly.

The employees went on strike on July 29th after rejecting an earlier tentative agreement that the union described as their best in decades.

After an almost three week break, negotiators went back to the bargaining table yesterday, the same day an injunction was granted by an Ontario superior court judge preventing workers from picketing at warehouses.
