The Quebec-based Canadian wunderkind of film making says he’s giving up on cinema and ending his directing career.

Xavier Dolan told the Spanish daily “El Pais” that he’s had it and at 34 years old, he’s done.

He says he no longer has the desire or strength to commit to a project for two years, hardly seeing anyone, putting too much passion into it and then getting so much disappointment out of it.

He miniseries, “The Night Logan Woke Up,” was released in only four countries (Canada, France, Japan and Spain) and fell short of his expectations.

Dolan says the simplest solution for him to to make commercials and and build himself a house in the country.
