The Prime Minister is joining other prominent personalities paying tribute to noted Quebec actor Michel Cote.
Justin Trudeau says Cote’s passing is “an extraordinary loss for Quebecois culture and for the entire country.”
Cote, who was known for his stage and film appearances, has died a year after retiring to undergo treatment for a bone marrow disease.
The actor was a favourite in Quebec, and received a lifetime achievement award in 2013 at the Jutra awards which celebrate Quebec TV and films.
Michel Cote was 72.
