It could be a few more days before hundreds of people will be able to return home, as wildfires continue to burn in Northern Saskatchewan.
The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency is fighting 23 active wildfires, including five that are not contained.
Spokesperson Steve Roberts said Tuesday the fire has been aggressive making it difficult for crews to get a handle on the situation.
Rain is expected in the coming days, which would help crews make some headway.
Meantime, officials in the Northwest Territories say more than half of the wildfires that have scorched 161-square-kilometres across the territory were started by people.
About 35-hundred people remain displaced after evacuation orders were issued May 14th.
