Winner of 13 Grand Slam doubles titles, Australian tennis player Owen Davidson has died at age 79.

The International Tennis Hall of Fame reported on Saturday that Davidson passed away on Friday in Conroe, Texas.

He won two men’s doubles titles and 11 major mixed doubles championships.

Davidson won eight of his Grand Slam awards with Billie Jean King in a career that lasted from the early 1960’s through the mid-1970’s.

In 1967, Davidson became only the third player in tennis history to earn all four major mixed doubles titles within the same year, including three with Billie Jean King.
