It’s getting more expensive to drive a car in Ontario and residents in Brampton are feeling the pinch more than others.

According to a report from Rates-dot-ca Brampton tops the list for the most expensive car insurance in the province  at an estimated $2,700  up 37%.

Drivers in Toronto don’t fare much better with rates up 19%  to just over $2,300.

Where Mississauga motorists saw a 17% increase in premiums  also to just over $2,300.

Experts say rising inflation, an ongoing shortage of vehicles and parts  combined with a rise in car thefts are behind the hikes.
