If you’re considering heading to Florida to catch the Leafs-Panthers second round playoff series you might be out of luck.
The Panthers have decided to limit tickets to ”local fans first access” for the first 24-hours.
Ticketmaster says residency will be determined based on customers’ credit card billing address.
Anyone who tries to buy a ticket at the Sunrise, Florida arena who does not have a U.S. address before the first 24-hours is up will have the order cancelled and be issued a refund.
After 24-hours, anyone can buy a ticket regardless of where they live.
The restriction does not apply to season-ticket holders, meaning the resale market is not affected.
Tickets for Game 3 in Florida, went on sale this morning and are listed on some sites at $244 each; less than half of what it would cost ($528) to take in Game 1 at Scotiabank Arena tomorrow.
