A couple of high-profile news names are in the news and out of work.
Tucker Carlson and Fox News have ”agreed to party ways.”
His departure comes nearly a week after Fox settled a nearly $800-million lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems over its coverage of the 2020 election.
Emails and text messages revealed as part of the case showed Carlson privately criticizing former president Donald Trump, despite his often strong support for him publicly.
Carlson, who joined Fox News in 2009, had been host of ”Tucker Carlson Tonight,” since 2016.
Meanwhile, long-time CNN host Don Lemon is gone just two months after apologizing for on-air remarks concerning Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Halley.
Talking about the ages of politicians, Lemon said she was not ”in her prime,” adding a woman was considered in her prime ”in her 20s, 30s and maybe her 40s.”
In an apparent reaction to Lemon’s departure, Haley tweeted ”A great day for women everywhere.”
