ANN-MARGET'S NEW ALBUM AT 81

She speaks in a voice that is somewhere between a purr and a coo but she always knew how to belt out a tune.

 

Now, singer, dancer and actress Ann-Margret, a veteran of films like “Viva Las Vegas,” “Tommy,” and a Grammy nominee for “I Just Don’t Understand” in 1962, is set to release “Born to Be Wild,

It’s the 81-year old’s the first album in her 60 plus year career. It focuses on standards including Steppenwolf’s anthem of the same name and “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.”

The album cover reproduces a 1967 poster created for her first Vegas show that finds her in a form-fitting jumpsuit while straddling a Triumph motorcycle.

Canada’s Paul Shaffer plays piano on “The Great Pretender.”

The Album drops Friday.
