If you sat through Martin Scorsese’s film “The Irishman,” you know it ran for three hours, 29 minutes and it’s rumoured his next film is even longer.

The film is scheduled to debut at the Cannes Film Festival next month and Variety reports that is runs to four hours.

“Killers of the Flower Moon” features a star studded cast led by Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro.  It’s adapted from a book of the same name that tells a story, set in 1920s Oklahoma, which centres on the serial murder of several Native Americans and the subsequent investigation by the new formed FBI.

“Flower Moon” is also rumoured to have cost $200 million dollars to make.

Its length is prompting some Twitter users to weigh in.  One wag suggesting it will be a Twitter darling right up until it’s released and then people will forget about it because they weren’t enthralled for the entire four hours.
