Back in the 1970s, Joan Baez took the stage at Toronto’s Massey Hall and played “Diamonds and Rust,” a song she’d written about a her relationship with music legend Bob Dylan.

Now, at age 82, she’s delving into her own past and says it’s the most difficult thing she’s ever done.

A new documentary called “Joan Baez: I Am a Noise” deals with her use of drugs, aging, psychological problems and her sometimes painful memories of Dylan.

The documentary premiered at the recently concluded Berlin Film Festival.
