There have been books about her life, but for the first time Barbra Streisand will be telling her story her way.

”My Name is Barbra” will be out November 7 in hardback, ebook and audiobook.

The 80-year-old singer, actor, director, producer and multi-award winner has been approached about a memoir for decades, with Streisand revealing in 2021 that Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis had asked her to write one in the early 1980s, when the former first lady was an editor at Doubleday.

Publisher Penguin Random House says the wait has been worth it, calling the memoir ”one of the greatest tales of the creative life ever told.”
