The so-called “Freedom Convoy” began a year ago today in Ottawa.
Estimates are that about 500 people will gather this weekend on Parliament Hill to mark the anniversary.
The Parliamentary Protective Service, which provides security for the parliamentary precinct, says it will curtail some access to the site as a precaution.
It says the public can still use the central and east gates to get to the lawns, but not the gates closest to the West Block.
Ottawa police also say they will be enforcing the ongoing closure of Wellington Street to vehicle traffic.
