Make sure your patio furniture is tied down on Saturday. It’s expected to be very windy!
A Special Weather Statement from Environment Canada says to expect strong winds with the passage of a cold front on Saturday.
South or southwest winds with gusts up to 70 km/h are likely ahead of the cold front.
West or northwest winds with gusts up to 80 km/h are likely along and behind the front.
The timing of these windy conditions is early Saturday morning through the afternoon.
Environment Canada warns utility outages may occur. There may be damage to buildings, such as roof shingles and windows.
And high winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
The cold front will drop the temperature from a morning high of 7 celcius to 1 degree Saturday afternoon.
