It’s an annual Toronto tradition — the city’s Cavalcade of Lights holiday celebration opens at Nathan Phillips Square today.
The holiday event kicks off at 3 p-m, with the tree-lighting ceremony scheduled for 8:30 p-m.
According to the City, the Cavalcade of Lights is inspired by international lantern, fire and light festivals, adding this year’s ceremony will transform city hall and its surroundings into a “dazzling wonderland.”
The skating rink at the square also opens in addition to tonight’s lighting of the tree.
