'QUEEN OF THE HOUSE' DIES AT 80

Her biggest hit came in 1965 and led to the the 1966 Grammy Award for best country performance by a woman.

Jody Miller’s hit “Queen of the House” was billed as an answer to Roger Miller’s hit “King of the Road” which Capital records says opened up a crossover career for her.

Universal Music Group confirms Jody Miller has died of complications from Parkinson’s disease in her hometown of Blanchard, Oklahoma.

She was 80 and no relation to Roger Miller.
