Four months after he went on stage at the Oscars and slapped Chris Rock across the face, Will Smith has released a video, apologizing to Rock again.
”I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he’s not ready to talk, and when he is he will reach out,” said Smith.
”So I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you.  My behaviour was unacceptable, and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.”
As for why he didn’t apologize to Rock in his Oscar acceptance speech for Best Actor, Smith said he was ”fogged out by that point.  It’s all fuzzy.”
He also apologized to Rock’s mother, Rosalie and his younger brother, Tony.
During the March 27 show, before his Academy Award win, Smith walked onstage and struck Rock in the face after the presenter commented about  his wife’s shaved head.
She has alopecia; an auto-immune disorder that causes hair-loss.
In a statement days later, Smith explained the remark was ”to much for me to bear” and that he ”reacted emotionally.”
Since the incident, Rock’s made jokes at stand-up performances referencing the moment but has yet to speak about it in length.
He has said he’ll ”talk about it at some point” eventually.
