Zoomers of a certain vintage will remember the song “La La La La La (Means I Love You)” from 1968.

It was co-written by William “Poogie” Hart (above middle) a cofounder of the Grammy-winning trio the Delfonics.

He’s died from complications during surgery in Philadelphia.

Hart helped write and sing a a number of the Delfonics hits including “Didn’t I Blow Your Mind (This Time).”

In all, the Delfonics had six top 40 pop hits and more than a dozen top 20 R-&-B hits.

William “Poogie” Hart was 77.
