U-2 frontman Bono’s long-rumoured memoir will be published on November 1st.
Bono and bandmate The Edge performed alongside a Ukrainian band in a subway station in Kyiv on Sunday. Bono believes musicians and other artists have a part to play in telling the story of Ukraine.
The autobiography called “Surrender” will span the singer’s early days growing up in Dublin, including the sudden loss of his mother when he was 14, the success of U2 and his activist work fighting against Aids and poverty.
It has 40 chapters, each named after a U2 song. The 62 year old Bono has also created 40 original drawings for the book.
