As war rages in Ukraine, diplomats appear to be closing in on a new nuclear deal with Iran.
Talks are continuing in Vienna with only a few small outstanding issues remaining. American and Russian diplomats are among the delegates taking part with U.S. sanctions on Russia seemingly not impacting the talks.
Reentering a nuclear deal with Iran has been a priority of the Biden administration.
Such a deal would limit the scope of an Iranian nuclear program.
The U.S. and other parties originally agreed to a deal with Iran in 2015 when Barack Obama was President.
The U.S. withdrew from the agreement under President Donald Trump in 2018.
