Toronto raised-actor Simu Liu has been named master of ceremonies for the 51st annual Juno Awards.
The 32 year old star of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will host of this year’s televised celebration of Canadian music May 15th.
The Junos will be held outdoors for the first time.
Organizers have booked the open-air Budweiser Stage here in Toronto to mitigate some of the uncertainty around the COVID-19 pandemic.
Over the past two years, the Junos have seen their events repeatedly postponed and rejigged as local health restrictions prevented large gatherings.
