It appears the Canada Recovery Benefit is on the way out.

A Toronto Star report quotes two unnamed sources as saying the benefit which replaced the Canada Emergency Response Benefit, or CERB, last year will be gone sooner rather than later.

The CRB program, along with the Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit and the Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit, are all scheduled to end on Saturday, but there is word some support will still be available for those who are not able to go to work temporarily because of strict COVID-19 lockdowns.

The official announcement on the end of the benefits could be revealed as early as Thursday.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is set to speak with reporters Thursday at 10am when he’s expected to announce an international vaccine passport system.
