He’s practically ageless.
At 91, Stephen Sondheim shows no sign of slowing down.
The composer and lyricist, who is widely considered one of the greatest musical theatre artists in history is writing another show which he hopes to stage next year.
Also, a revival of Sondheim’s “Company,” in which the genders of the protagonist and several other characters have been swapped, is scheduled to resume previews November 15th and open on Broadway December 9th. The revival was only staged nine times before the Great White Way was shuttered by COVID-19 in March 2020.
