COVID CLAIMS BRITISH OPERA DIRECTOR AT 67

British opera director Graham Vick has died of complications from COVID-19.

Vick was artistic director of the Birmingham Opera which announced his death.

Vick was a champion of staging productions in non-traditional venues including factories, warehouses and nightclubs.

He had also directed productions for the likes of New York’s Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera in London and La Scala in Milan.

Graham Vick was 67.
