At 81, he’s still working hard and now legendary comedic actor John Cleese is is bringing a Monte Python classic to the theatre.
However, Cleese says his version of “Life of Brian” won’t be be a musical, it will be a play instead.
He hopes to have it completed next year and adds it won’t star himself or any of the other living Monty Python members.
In 2004, Python’s Eric Idle turned the 1975 film into a hit musical entitled “Spamalot,” which earned 14 Tony Award nominations and won three during its run on Broadway.
Paramount Pictures is currently turning that musical into a movie.
