Starting Monday 8 a.m., adolescents can move up their second COVID vaccine dose appointments.
Those aged 12-17 across Ontario can book their second Pfizer shots through the provincial booking system, pharmacies or local public health units.
The province says the aim’s to provide them with a strong level of protection and support a safe return to school in September.
The city of Toronto’s announced that more than 250,000 July appointments remain available for City-operated clinics, including 65,000 appointments for next week.
To date, more than 77% of adults in Ontario have received their first shot and over 42% are fully immunized.
To continue to protect against the Delta variant, provincially supported mobile teams have been returning to community and workplaces in Toronto, Durham, Halton, Peel, York and Hamilton since last week.
Meanwhile, there are 484 new cases reported over the past two days (200 today, 284 Thursday) as the province did not release data on Canada Day.
Of the new cases, 41 are in Waterloo Region, 23 in Toronto and 21 in Peel.
