We are just now learning of the death of Emmy nominated actress Abby Dalton, best known for her role on TV’s Falcon Crest.

A representative has confirmed Dalton died last week in Los Angeles after battling a long illness.

Dalton got her start in film in the 1950s. She became a star on the 1960 sitcom the “Josey Bishop Show.”

In 1981, Dalton took on the role of Julia Cumson on Falcon Crest and remained on the popular series through 1986.

Dalton was 88.
