Premier Doug Ford says he’s looking at the possible reopening of restaurant patios on a regional basis when the province moves to stage two of its COVID-19 reopening plan. “That’s one of the areas that we’re looking at with a regional opening and we had a real good conversation with caucus and cabinet and I know a lot of people in the rural areas want that,” said Ford promising a decision within the week. He adds that even though Ontario has extended its state of emergency until June 30th, it won’t slow down the reopening process. Ontario has been in stage one since May 19th.
On another issue, Doug Ford says “stay tuned” when asked if testing for COVID-19 will be available in pharmacies like they’re doing in New York State.
