A T-V show has scrapped plans to shoot a violent scene in Toronto, on the same street where a van attack left 10 people dead. Toronto Mayor John Tory said the producers of the show The Boys should have been transparent about the scene early on in the process. The Mayor has spoken with producers who acknowledged they are scrapping plans to shoot the scenes along Yonge Street. Those who live and work in the area voiced strong opposition to the scene being filmed there. Tory says it would have been incredibly insensitive for the shoot to go ahead. The show, co-produced by Amazon Studios is currently shooting its second season in Toronto. City spokesman Brad Ross says staff will now review the processes to make sure that film permits take into account history involved with certain locations.
