Dellen Millard of Toronto and Mark Smich of Oakville have been found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of 23 year-old Laura Babcock of Toronto, whose body has never been found.
The crown alleged that 32 year-old Millard and 30 year-old Smich killed Babcock in July 2013 because she was the odd woman out in a love triangle that involved Millard and his girlfriend.
Prosecutors say the two men disposed of Babcock’s body in an animal incinerator that was found on Millard’s property, after planning the murder for months.
The two men claimed the Crown failed to prove that Babcock was actually dead.
Last year, Millard and Smich were convicted of killing 32 year-old Tim Bosma, the married father of a young child, and disposing of his body in the same incinerator.
