Wealthy art collectors will have the opportunity to spend about 100-million dollars later this month on a painting believed to be a long-lost masterpiece by Leonardo Da Vinci.
The 500 year-old “Salvator Mundi” or “Savior of the World” is the only Da Vinci still privately owned.
Experts say it’s likely one of Da Vinci’s last works.
It had been rediscovered when it was purchased at an estate sale in 2005.
It will be part of a group of Contemporary and Post-War art when it’s auctioned off at Christie’s in New York on November 15th.
