The victims of the Manhattan bike path attack were honoured Thursday with a night-time walk down the riverfront esplanade where they died. Some of the marchers carried candles, while others pushed bicycles in solidarity with the victims. Eight people were killed Tuesday night in what authorities say was an Islamic State-inspired truck attack. It didn’t take long for New York policy makers to take action in light of this weeks tragedy. The city began installing protective barriers along the path just hours after Thursday night’s walk. U-S President Donald Trump has called for the execution of suspect Sayfullo Saipov.
